COVID-19 FAQs: What Are We Doing to Serve the Community and Protect Our Clients

Is your office currently open during normal business hours?

Yes, we are open and here to help you during this difficult and trying time. Since lawyers are considered “Essential Workers,” we are always open for you. We are available by phone and email 24-hours a day and are making appointments for personal meetings and consultations. Your safety and well-being are our main concern. We will take all the necessary steps to make sure we go beyond all state and federal guidelines to protect you, your family, friends, and the public.

Are you accepting new clients?

Yes, we certainly are. Contact us by phone or email to arrange for a personal and confidential consultation.

When and how can I contact you?

You can contact us anytime by calling 847-807-7405.

What video chat platforms do you offer for clients?

We can use any popular form of video conferencing such as Zoom, FaceTime, Microsoft Teams, Facebook Messenger Rooms, Google Meet, or any other modality for video conferencing. Call our office at 847-807-7405 to schedule a video conference at your convenience.

How can I get updates regarding the status of my case or legal matter?

We remain at your disposal to provide real-time answers and updates on your case. Our clients have the personal cell phone number and personal email address of their lawyer which they can always use to contact their lawyer to discuss their case at any time.

Are courts still open in my area? Will my court date be rescheduled? What if I can’t come to court because I’m sick or quarantined?

Courts are currently opened for most matters. However, the Courts are scheduling some cases remotely and some cases require personal attendance. We are monitoring the Courts and our cases and are making sure our clients know whether they will have to appear in Court or whether their case will be heard remotely. We are in regular contact with prosecutors and have access to the cases online. We are closely monitoring the status of the cases and keeping track of the rescheduled court dates. We are working every day to keep our clients updated on the status of their cases and notifying them about the status of the Courts.

I got into an argument with my ex-boyfriend. One thing led to another and when he came close to me I pushed him away. He called the police and when I spoke to the police I told them that I pushed him without realizing that you don't have to hit someone to be charged with a Domestic Battery. Being...

Paid him (more than I should have) and he handled my case for almost a year and totally screwed it up. I fired him and found out that he had given up his law license around the time I...

I had been accused of doing something, by my then wife, that I did not do. I was 100% innocent and was at the lowest point in my life. My mother told me to call James Dimeas. Her friend recommended him to her. James fought for me in court and refused to back down, even when the prosecution offered...

James Dimeas is a great lawyer who knows what he is doing and will guide you through every step of the process. He will go above and beyond what he needs to do to help you out. Sometimes I would text him in the evening or the weekend with a question and he would always respond. Really made me feel...

I am so lucky to have stumbled upon this great attorney. I made a really stupid mistake at the worst time. I needed to get a case dismissed within 2 or 3 weeks so I could join the military. I could not leave for Basic Training until the case was dismissed and Jim made some calls and got the case...
