Highly Experienced Criminal Attorney for Wheaton Residents and Wheaton Criminal Cases

Wheaton is a city in Illinois that was originally a village. Wheaton is a suburb of Chicago that is located about 30 miles west of the Chicago Loop. Wheaton has a population that is estimated to be around 54,000. Wheaton is the County Seat for DuPage County. DuPage County is the second largest county in Illinois. DuPage County has a population estimated to be around 920,000 people.

Wheaton was originally founded in 1831. In 1837, the Wheaton Brothers arrived in the area. Soon after, more settlers arrived from New England. In 1859, Wheaton was incorporated as a Village. In 1890 it was incorporated as a City. The first mayor of Wheaton was Judge Elbert Gary, the son of the founder of Gary, Indiana. The original County Seat for DuPage County was in Naperville. In 1857, the Illinois Legislature began debating whether to change the County Seat for DuPage County from Naperville to Wheaton. In 1867 the Illinois State Legislature decided to change the County Seat of DuPage County from Naperville to Wheaton. Very soon after the County Seat for DuPage County was moved to Wheaton, the City of Wheaton built its first Courthouse, county offices, and the first DuPage County Jail.

Soon after, problems arose between Naperville and Wheaton. Naperville refused to turn over county records so a band of Wheaton residents raided the Naperville Courthouse to seize county records that Naperville had refused to turn over. The records were taken to the Cook County Recorder in Chicago for safekeeping. Naperville filed a lawsuit against Wheaton and the problems between Naperville and Wheaton persisted. Eventually, the DuPage County records were destroyed in the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. It was shortly after the Great Chicago Fire that Wheaton was officially proclaimed the County Seat for DuPage County.

The current DuPage County Courthouse moved to its current location in 1990. DuPage County built the new courthouse near the corner of County Farm Road and Manchester Road, just north of Roosevelt Road. The Courthouse cost DuPage County approximately 52 million dollars. Shortly after the Courthouse was opened, several employees became ill because of the faulty ventilation system. DuPage County sued the contractors but the jury sided with the contractors, finding that the main cause for the ventilation system problems was caused by DuPage County’s negligence.

I got into an argument with my ex-boyfriend. One thing led to another and when he came close to me I pushed him away. He called the police and when I spoke to the police I told them that I pushed him without realizing that you don't have to hit someone to be charged with a Domestic Battery. Being...

Had a DUI and hired a lawyer who lived in my building that I knew for years and trusted. Thought he was my friend. Paid him (more than I should have) and he handled my case for almost a year and totally screwed it up. I fired him and found out that he had given up his law license around the time I...
